Suki’s Fast and Furious Outfit

1. Tops

It must be the easiest part of Suki’s outfit, as it consists only of 2 parts which are pink and purple spaghetti strap crop tops.

2. Short Jean Shorts

Despite the common impression that Suki is wearing pink leather pants, she is wearing jean shorts with a wide pink leather belt and pink trouser-leg strapped to the belt.

3. Boots

Unfortunately in the movie, Suki’s shoes are often covered with long pink trouser-legs, so it’s hard to recognize which boots she is wearing. However, we can see her wearing massive platform boots, so knowing you will wear the same trouser-legs, you can take any massive size boots you have. 1. Buying Cheap Pink Pants

I found the best option for handmade Suki’s pants. It is a cheap, pu leather pants with wide trouser-legs. They might not be the highest quality pants, but I don’t think you want to do the next steps with $100 leather pants, knowing that you will wear them only once.

2. Measure and cut

Now you should measure the necessary trouser-leg length that will fit your height. You should cut your pants as displayed on the picture, so the top side of your pants will become a belt/skirt, then you will have approx. 4-inch spacing, and then you have trouser legs.

3. Connecting belt with trouser-legs

The leftover pants material you have after step two, you can use as straps. Measure approximately 4 pieces of 4-inch straps. Then sew them to each trouser leg and the belt from the front and the back side, so the trouser legs can hold onto your belt/skirt.

4. Outer Side Stitching

As you can see on the original Suki pants there are cuts on the outer side of the trouser leg and a stitching.

However, on our version of pants, we can skip cutting part and just make stitching with leather cords. Each cord is 5m (5.47 Yards) in length, so consider taking 2 pcs.

I think that the material of our pants is too soft, and it will not look as good as the original after cutting the sides. Try it only at your own risk.

5. Paint Leather Design Pattern

Suki’s pants have an unusual design pattern, which makes them unique. So we cannot leave our pants pink, as it will not look authentic.

Use an acrylic leather paint kit that has all the necessary colors, preparer, and finisher, and try to recreate the pattern you see in the picture.

It shouldn’t be identical, but try to make it at least close to the original, so you can shine even on cosplay events with your Suki’s pants.

5. Leather Belt

Yes, you see it right, we need a leather belt on our leather belt. If you are left with some material, you can use it to make the same color belt, and add some cowgirl buckle, or just order one following the link below.
